Wordpress Widgets

Here is a blog done by Automattic.com that makes an interesting wordpress plug-in for running widgets. They also have made Google Search and del.icio.us plugins as examples. Looks promising and there are already a good list of “widgets”.

To get the widget plugin working with custom templates simply follow the provided instruction in the readme.txt
