Chan Hong Wei Lester makes a useful wordpress polls widget (note: it can also be inserted in your sidebar.php manually if you do not use widgets)

Wordpress Polls can be edited in your Wordpress dashboard and comes with Timestamps, IP Logs, and Poll Answers. An archive link that vistors can click on and view gives this plugin even more flavor.
